My name is Danielle, also known as Dannii and I am the owner and operator behind DANNIIFREE. I have started this brand with the purest love in my heart. Doing this on my own has taken a lot of patience, dedication and feeling every emotion possible. Turn the key with DANNIIFREE! Unlock each door in life with the key of imagination. This streetwear brand inspires you to own your individuality and always believe in yourself regardless of life's obstacles.
HERE'S A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:
There are many reasons why I started this new line of clothing and accessories, but most importantly, this new adventure has brought light and positivity back into my creative portfolio.
My whole life I have opened so many doors. I have closed doors on failed friendships, failed business ideas, relationships, dreams, goals and failed attempts at finding my true self, but giving up was never an option. In 2019, I went through one of the hardest experiences I could have ever imagined. It was something you can’t prepare for and I had feared it broke me forever. I feared I had lost all motivation as an artist, and a human being and that life was simply non-existant anymore. After years of sorrow, years of pulling myself out of a dark place on top of all those doors I had opened and closed, this new adventure was going to prove that I can keep going; It proved I wanted to keep going. I knew I wanted to inspire those around me and let everyone know that it will be ok and that dream or life goal is just a turn away.
I believe that everyone struggles. This life we all have is something to cherish because it can be gone in a flash before you know it. Life is what you make it and you can never give up because that door is waiting to be unlocked. You never know what is behind the door until you try opening it. I had asked myself “What is my purpose?”, “Am I pursuing my passion?”, “Am I capable of starting something so time consuming?” I have finally told myself “Yes, I can do this!" I strive to inspire others to feel the same way about reaching their goals and unlocking their own potential with the keys they already possess.
I have always been fascinated by the gothic Victorian era architecture which has been a palpable influence on my creative life. I spent some time in Italy after my traumatic experience.It was here where I came to find my love for art and history again. I would stare into the empty eyes of stone angels that towered over me while standing in front of doors that told a story showing beyond the darkness lies opportunity and wonder. It was in this trip that I found myself again and the idea of DANNIIFREE was born.
With an advanced diploma in Graphic Design, researching, educating myself on website design and the clothing industry, I found myself connecting with other creators and designers in the business to set myself on my own mission to get DANNIIFREE out into the world.
During 2021 I moved to a new city left my old life and unpacked a new one on Lake Ontario. This is where I would find myself looking for new adventures and contacts to start DANNIIFREE and turning my own key to find success & happiness. I am extremely grateful to have had the courage and support to come this far.
